Project 365 - Week 3

This is the 3rd weekly installment in this year-long project. This week I documented my quick trip to NYC and the inaugeration. I continued the theme for the month of January by using the same papers and embellishments. (I did add some Doodlebug jewels in the same blues.) Also, the picture with the Wicked sign is actually 2 photos that I merged into one within photoshop.

Project 365 - Week 2

>
Here's the layout for week 2. I used the same Heidi Grace papers and matching embellishments. I also used some of the Bazzill bling brads. This project is turning out to be fun! I am starting to get a vision about how it will look by the end of the year!

"Week of" Cards

I used Photoshop to create some simple "Week of" cards. Each card is 6 x 4. I used a couple brushes from PC Layers (the snowflakes)Sugar Cookie set - then I printed it 5 times on 3 different shades of blue Bazzill bling paper. I precut the paper which saved the waste significantly.

For February, I'll try the same approach, using a Valentine theme digi-scrap set.

Project 365 - Week 1

I have worked out a monthly and weekly format for this project -- and have completed the January month page and the first week. Basically, I've got a month separator that is 6 x 12 inches. This is followed by a full page layout. It is a simple layout and I plan to use variations of this same layout for each month page. Then, I've got 2 pages for each week starting with Jan. 1-7.

I plan to use a different set of papers for each month. For January, I'm using the Heidi Grace Frost Blvd that IRW sold last winter. I also used the Bazzill bling that corresponds and a few Glimmer Shapes (since the colors and the theme went so nicely together). instead of writing for each day, I'm having one journal post per week that covers the highlights of the week.

The basic concept for the monthly cover page is that it will incorporate photos from the weeks that follow - therefore, the month page will always be done last. Just for January, I took photos that I'm using for the first week - I wanted to finish the layout.
